Jan. 18th, 2014 07:53 pmI was thinking about having a galleon meeting this week to talk about some stuff.
First, it's coming up on a year since Sophie. I thought we could talk about safety. How to use the galleons in an emergency, that sort of thing. Because the new people don't know. And it's important to remind the old people that even though Umbridge is gone, we've got to be prepared in case Crouch tries something like that again.
Maybe we could talk about the challenge too, and see if we could get the galleon people to help us with it, but that might be tricky. Because we might have to talk about why it's important, and maybe they'll have questions about who we want to help, and might not want to get in the way. What should we say?

Date: 2014-01-19 05:24 am (UTC)I think if we're enlisting everyone with a galleon we should have them focus on sabotaging just a couple of people we really DO NOT want on the Council, at least for now. The people who will be the greatest threat. So, Teddy. Finnigan. Maybe Vince and Greg although I would expect Draco could manage them.
I don't know, maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way?
As far as people to help, I suppose you could tell them to help Draco and Hydra because they're going to 'try to change things form the inside,' remember that line from 'Pure Power'? I suppose you didn't actually read that one. I mean, in the book it was actually more or less bollocks, but it sounds plausible, don't you think?

And I think your idea about talking about Sophie is a good one.
