alt_harryI just wanted to let the Order know that we talked to Cedric on Saturday. We showed him Hermione's wand, and he sort of looked a bit gobsmacked and then said that he thought we might've been involved in something bigger than just Umbridge.
We asked him why he was working with Professor Dolohov. He said it was mostly because he offered him a job that got him out of the house, and he thought it'd help him get good connections, but that it was practical rather than because he's keen on the subject. And we also asked him about what he thought about the Protectorate, and muggleborns, and he said that he didn't want to just put a new person in charge and keep everything the way that it was, but he wanted people to be judged by what they did not who they knew. And that the current system was wrong, and the official line on muggleborns and muggles was wrong too. He was still sort of figuring out what he thought about that, but he said he'd been thinking about it a lot since this summer, and that if there was going to be a revolution, he wanted things to change.
Anyways. We haven't told him anything about the Order yet, but now that he knows there's something bigger out there to be a part of, he wants to be a part of it. Which is what I thought he'd say.
So. What should we tell him next? Mrs Longbottom, Sirius, he can leave school over weekends and things if you want him to come and talk to you or something.
