I want you both to spread a rumour. You know. Without letting people know you are.

I want you to tell people that you heard that I didn't put my own name in the goblet.That I put in a fake name. That's why I was so surprised when my name came out. So that means that the goblet was rigged for my name, not Diggory's. He's the one the goblet really chose for Hogwarts.

That's the rumour I want you to tell people. Okay?

And you can tell Pansy what I told you.

This might be an easier rumour to spread if we have a name we said you put in instead, do you care who it is? It doesn't necessarily have to have even been the name of a student at the school; you might have written down Owain Pritchard or Moaning Myrtle. Or Hannah Abbot.

Or we could say you put in some name like Vincent Crabbe, even he'd admit he was never going to be chosen.

But if you don't anyone know you started the rumour, I'm thinking that it will work best if we say someone saw that you wrote down a different name. And that means they have to have seen what you wrote.
