I don't get it. Everyone thinks it's going to be me no matter what. I think if they wanted me to be champion so bad they should've waited until I was in sixth year. Then it would be more fair. Anyways. Father would be angry if I put my name in and it didn't pick me. Or if I got picked but lost the cup. So he'll just get angry at me now instead of later.

Yeah, but if the goblet didn't pick you it wouldn't be your fault and he'd have to be angry with the goblet. And if you got picked and lost, well, I suppose he might be angry, yeah, but he might blame the Razzer and our other teachers more than he blames anyone else.

Point is, if you don't put your name in at all there's only one person he can blame and be angry at, and that's you.
