I think all that drilling really paid off. I think everyone did a really good job. This was the best birthday present you lot could've got for me.
Bones, that was really top coordination of the bell choir. Patil, that idea you had with the signals to make sure the timing went off worked really well. Blaise, Perks, Weasley, I saw you all working on your charms during breaks and it showed, and I know that lots of other people worked extra to make sure that everything looked sharp.
Professor Sinistra, thank you for all the time you've spent working on the programme. We couldn't have done it without you.

Of Merlin and Agrippa, and such great names be-FORE.
But of all the world's great wizards, there's none that can com-PARE.
I'll be hearing that in my sleep for days, I'll have you know.

I hope you're having a wonderful birthday. It's quite nice that the whole Protectorate celebrates it with you, isn't it?

Date: 2012-07-31 11:27 pm (UTC)I say, we did do the thing rather well, considering how long we had to work on it, what?
Some of us are off to the street stalls. I expect you've responsibilities this evening, but if you'd like to join us you'd be quite welcome.

Date: 2012-08-01 12:20 am (UTC)I'm delighted - though not surprised, knowing you all - at how well it came together in the end. You all did a marvellous job. (Though I'm equally sure everyone's looking forward to moving on to other activities now.)

Date: 2012-08-01 02:20 am (UTC)I think it all came together very well, really. And the comments I've been overhearing seem generally quite pleased. Let's just hope that the most important opinions fall the same way.
