So. Professor Siz told me after lunch that she's not going to be in charge of the CCF programme any more. Not her choice.

She also said that she thinks Umbridge has plans to toughen me up or something, so she was letting me know to prepare for it. I think she also told me ahead of time so I wouldn't get all angry and do something stupid, like threaten to quit or something.

Which I've been thinking about doing.

Especially if Umbridge takes over.

But that wouldn't change things. Not unless everyone in the CCF did it too or something. And that's not likely.

That's all I know. For now.

Umbridge has definitely been acting like she's in charge of CCF lately, though.

You really think your Father would let you quit? He'd just chuck you back in, wouldn't he. I'm sure my Father would do the same, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't even like Umbridge.

I guess that's what happens when you play favourites. I mean, all professors do it, but her favourites were halfbloods and Hufflepuffs, and that just wasn't on for some of our classmates. But they still liked her, I think - definitely a good deal more than Umbridge, anyway.

If Umbridge does end up in charge you ought to try to position yourself as one of her favourites. I bet she'd just love a good arse-kisser. Not to mention that it seems like the phrase "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" was coined with someone like her in mind.

I don't think it'd be that hard, not for the Lord Protector's son. You'd just have to tell her how splendid her pink hat looks today, ask her about her kittens, and say things like "Oh, I do so enjoy having my mudblood clean my toenails every Sunday." See? Easy.
